Kelly is a longtime social justice activist in the Washington, D.C. area. In 2014, Catholic peacemakers in Pax Christi’s DC/Baltimore region named her their Peacemaker of the Year. A descendant of the Konsur and Krysztofik families from rural northeastern Pennsylvania, she has traveled to Poland many times.
